Child Safety will also assess how the child's protection and care needs can be met.

What actions can Child Safety take?
During an investigation Child Safety may:

Consider an intervention with parental agreement (IPA), this can include entering into an assessment care agreement or child protection care agreement.

Take a child into immediate custody if they believe a child is at risk of harm and is likely to suffer harm if Child Safety doesn't take immediate custody.

Apply for assessment orders (Temporary Assessment & Court Orders.
