Child Safety investigates allegations of harm to a child.

Child Safety will also assess how the child's protection and care needs can be met.

If they suspect that a child is in need of protection or at risk of being harmed may take immediate action to protect a child

If you are being investigated by Child Safety you should seek immediate Legal Advice.

During an investigation Child Safety may:

Consider an intervention with parental agreement (IPA), this can include entering into an assessment care agreement or child protection care agreement.
Take a child into immediate custody if they believe a child is at risk of harm and is likely to suffer harm if Child Safety doesn't take immediate custody.
Apply for assessment orders (Temporary Assessment & Court Orders.
